INOUE, Seigetsu (1822?-1887) is a legendary bleaching haiku-poet in Japan.

 

 He was enjoying the sound of clear water at the base of rock. On the first sentence, 根ne means root and he linked the base of rock as the root of plant. It would be overgrown by moss for the moistness of clear water and looked like the root of old tree.

 

 Valley of Ina, the place where he finally lived is held between about 3,000m high mountain ranges. So in this season, the snow on the mountains becomes gallons of clear water and it flows into the rich stream of Tenryu River (This picture was taken at different place).
