INOUE, Seigetsu (1822?-1887) is a legendary bleaching haiku-poet in Japan.
On the original haiku, it only says '花hana (flower)' but depending on the conventianl reading of haiku-poetry, it means cherry blossom.
Singing the pale-pinked color of the summit of Mt.Fuji which is covered with snow as the color of cherry blossoms.
It impresses the comparison between the vast, sturdy, eternal existence (Mt.Fuji) and tiny, frail, transient appearance (cherry blossom) at the same time.
